2022-2023 Public Health Matters Policy Forum SeriesJoin us on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the New Brighton Community Center for the third forum of this series ("Safety is No Accident: Public Health Approaches to Injury Prevention...in our Communities and Schools")! Check-in and a light breakfast begin at 7:30am. Forums begin promptly at 8:00 am and conclude at 9:30am. Are our community spaces becoming more violent? Is anywhere safe? This forum will examine the initiatives that have emerged to change the narrative about community safety and the community environments where we live, learn, work and play. Register for the forum! |
Annual Conference: Registration is open!The Minnesota Public Health Association (MPHA)’s Annual Conference will be held May 22-23, 2023 in-person at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. A virtual component will also be available. A virtual component for attendees to view keynote, plenary, and concurrent sessions is available. Early bird registration ends March 31! The conference theme “Raising the Public's Health: Becoming Better Ancestors through History, Hope, and Action” will examine how public health professionals are acting on some of the most urgent challenges of our time. |
A Presentation by the Facilitating Racial Equity Collaborative (FREC)
The Facilitating Racial Equity Collaborative (FREC) is a collaborative (of individuals and organizations) working towards just, equitable, antiracist communities throughout Minnesota. Join us to learn about their work and how they engage with multiple communities and ways of knowing. This virtual event will be on March 23rd from 12-1pm CT. We look forward to seeing you there!

Governing Council nominations for 2023-2024 are now open!The Minnesota Public Health Association’s (MPHA) Leadership Committee announces the call for nominations for MPHA’s 2023 elected offices on Governing Council. Please consider nominating a colleague or yourself to serve in an MPHA office. If you have an interest in being more active in MPHA and in public health, this is a great way to become involved. We want our Governing Council to be representative of the finest leaders in public health, and we need your input to make that happen! |
