Membership & Communications Committee

Overview

  • Develops MPHA membership that is diverse, and substantial in number and in interaction. The committee focuses on membership development and recruitment. They plan events such as the New Member Gathering, MPHey! series, and community volunteering.

  • Manages communications with members through a variety of communications tools, including the monthly newsletter and social media channels.

How to get involved

We plan a variety of events during our monthly Membership & Communications Committee meetings, which meet on the 1st Monday of each month from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.

Interested in Presenting Your Work?

A key function of the Minnesota Public Health Association is to raise awareness about relevant public health issues and support the work our members. If you would like to present work you've done or facilitate a discussion with MPHA members, get in touch with us!

What are you most looking forward to this year with MPHA?

I'm excited for upcoming work on rural health equity and have lots of anticipation for what the next conference theme will be!

What is your favorite thing about Minnesota?

The summer activities - gardening, small town parades, farmers markets, and lakes!
