History Committee

Overview

The MPHA History Committee has these purposes:

  1. Guide and sustain the partnership with Social Welfare History Archives (SWHA) library in the Elmer L. Andersen Library on the University of Minnesota west bank campus where the MPHA records collection is accessible in a permanent home since 2017,
  2. Capture and communicate MPHA and public health stories about past and present policies, programs and people in a variety of ways.
  3. Promote strategies and approaches that will highlight the importance, relevance, and impact of MPHA and public health history to help inform members and the public health community about present and future health policy and programming matters.

You can see more of their work on our "History" page.
