The Minnesota Public Health Association (MPHA)’s Annual Conference will be held May 15 - 16, 2025 in-person at Greysolon Ballroom by Black Woods in Duluth, MN. A virtual component will also be available. The conference will run for two half days, approximately Thursday, May 15 from 11 am - 5 pm and on Friday, May 16 from 8 am - 3 pm.
This year’s theme, Resilient Communities: Advancing Health Equity through Collective Action, Policy, and Partnerships, will explore how community resilience, collaborative action, and equitable partnerships can drive transformative change in public health. This conference will highlight the power of community-led health interventions to address social and structural determinants of health, challenge health inequities, and reshape public health systems. By focusing on collective community power, we aim to foster spaces where data justice, equitable decision-making, and shared ownership of health outcomes are prioritized.

The MPHA annual meeting brings together public health professionals at all stages of their careers—students, early/mid-career professionals, retired experts—alongside community leaders, elders, and faith-based groups from across Minnesota. This event fosters information exchange and collaboration to advance public health and build a healthier, more inclusive Minnesota. Dedicated public health professionals and engaged community members are invited to connect, share ideas, and gain valuable skills to support their work and communities.
The application will be made for public health nursing, social work, and CHES/MCHES/CPH continuing education credits.
