Increasing Counties' Health

SHIP supports community-driven solutions to expand opportunities for active living, healthy eating, and commercial tobacco-free living. SHIP is statewide, and is directed by local community leadership teams.

Presenters:

Angie Hasbrouck serves as the Population Health Supervisor at Horizon Public Health (serving Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Traverse counties). 

Angie provides strategic direction and leadership in the development and implementation of innovative public health initiatives. Angie brings 15 years of experience working across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to improve health outcomes. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Administration and Exercise Science. Known for her expertise in building partnerships and leading data-informed programs, Angie is passionate about addressing the root causes of health disparities and creating sustainable, community-centered solutions.

Patrick Hollister is the Active Living Planner with PartnerSHIP 4 Health (serving Becker, Clay, Otter Tail and Wilkin counties).

Patrick is committed to helping to make communities within his four-county region more conducive to active transportation (biking and walking) through improved community design and encouragement of active transportation.  Patrick works with FM Metro COG, city governments, county governments, and MnDOT to leverage opportunities for Complete Streets projects and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.  Patrick has a Master of Planning degree from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Mathematics from Macalester College.  Patrick and his wife Akiko live in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
