Minnesota Public Health Association
Since 1907, MPHA has been dedicated to creating a healthier Minnesota through effective public health practice and engaged citizens.
The Minnesota Public Health Association is an affiliated association of the American Public Health Association (APHA). We have collaborated with APHA to grow stronger as organizations, to share expertise, influence, and resources, and to advocate for common priorities at the local, state, and federal levels.
APHA is the national voice of public health and champions the health of all people and all communities. It is the only organization that combines a nearly 150-year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence federal policy to improve the public's health. MPHA pays dues to APHA, but are otherwise financially independent. We also have an independent infrastructure, charter, and policies and procedures.
Minnesotans who attend APHA's national meeting are invited to have lunch with MPHA one day at the meeting; information is sent out by MPHA's ARGC rep ahead of time. Contact MPHA's ARGC rep at email@example.com with questions.
